Mathematics Department

Since its inception in 1962, the Department of Mathematics has been proving its excellence by demonstrating very good results. It has highly qualified young and dynamic faculty members. The faculty equips the students with strong fundamentals of theory and practices of mathematics. It is indeed on its way to create mathematicians of the future with strong grounding in fundamentals of the discipline. The department provides small group teaching which leads to healthy teacher-student relationship. The department always imparts innovative skills to the students through collusion and mentoring. To meet the latest demands of the students, the department keeps on periodically updating and revising its teaching pedagogies. In the direction of progress and expansion, the department was given a formidable push when it started the post graduation in Mathematics from the academic session 2017-18 for interested and motivated students desirous to pursue higher studies in the field of Mathematics. The department has earned a commendable record of achievements both in academic and extra-curricular activities.
